Mahindra War Room Season 10 Campus Round at JBIMS

25th September 2017: The Campus Round of Mahindra War Room Season 10 was held at JBIMS on Monday, 25th September. The jury members for the event were Ms Neha Kharde, Head HR, Corporate Centre, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and Mr Vaibhav Jambhekar, Head, Strategy & Excellence at Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited. The panel was accompanied by Ms Anisha Saluja, Group Management Cadre, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and Mr Projwal David, Employer Branding & Recruitment, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited.

Regarded as one of the major B-school competitions in the country, the main idea of the competition is to engage top B-school talents in problem solving for realistic business issues. The stage was set for the 6 teams selected for the campus round to present their case reports. The teams were allotted 30 minutes each for their case which included 20 minutes for the presentation and a Q&A session for 10 minutes. For JBIMS, the teams who were selected for the campus round were: Strategym, Kaho Na PPO Hai, Winter is Here, Brainy Fools, DC-Dhinchak Chaar & Back to the Future.

The cases that were presented ranged across various sectors from Agri-Business to Electric Cars to Farm Mechanisation. The immense research work behind the cases was evidently visible from the presentations. The solutions presented by the teams were quite astounding and provided the audience with fascinating insights into the respective sectors. The Q&A sessions were intense with the judges questioning the teams about the industry, the solutions and the feasibility of their models. With confident and convincing answers from the teams, the judges were certainly impressed.

Finally, before the results, Mr Jambhekar shared his views regarding the evaluation round while appreciating and highlighting the effectiveness of the explanations provided by the teams. Based on the performances, 3 teams were declared as winners for JBIMS, namely – Strategym, Kaho Na PPO Hai & Back to the Future. Ms. Ipsita Bhattacharya was named the ‘Best Presenter’ for the event. The event concluded on a high note, with the junior MMS batch looking forward to participating in this top B-school competition.
