Corporate Social Responsibility Committee

The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee is the philanthropic wing of JBIMS. It is responsible for the promotion of social awareness among students through various activities. These activities tackle an array of onerous challenges with an aim to benefit and improve society.

The committee actively involves itself in projects to create a deep-rooted impact on the ground for society at large. It ensures to make a difference, one step at a time. Our contributory effort towards the environment aligns with a vision for a sustainable future where everyone has an active hand in striving for a safe and sound ecosystem.

Recent Projects/Initiatives

Fundraising initiative for a school for intellectually challenged children: The committee paid a visit to Sahyadri Adivasi Vikas Pratishthan, a residential school for intellectually challenged children in Chinchvali, Karjat. A number of fun-filled activities were conducted to engage the children. The committee also interacted with the parents of these children, the school’s teachers, and the school’s founders. Currently, the committee is trying to raise funds to help the school improve its current facilities.

 

 

I am Santa initiative: This project was focused on serving children belonging to vulnerable sections of our society and bringing smiles to their faces in these harsh times. The project was carried out in five different cities including Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Nashik, and Aurangabad.

 

 

Guest Lecture on Business for Social Impact: Ms. Sanskriti Dawle, CEO of Thinkerbell Labs and a participant at Shark Tank India, delivered the lecture to students of JBIMS wherein she emphasized on the responsibility of today’s businesses towards creating an impact on the society.

 

 

Celebrate Holi responsibly initiative: This initiative aimed at promoting indoor Holi celebrations to avoid large scale social gatherings and ensure everyone’s safety amidst the COVID pandemic.           

 

COVID relief helpline: Over the past couple of years, our lives have undergone significant changes due to the pandemic. To create a positive impact, this project was initiated in collaboration with the Art of Living Mumbai. With a goal to help people in urgent need during the COVID-19 pandemic through a 24-hour active helpline, over 225+ verified leads were released through our social media channels.
