Career banker with about four decades of experience in corporate and investment banking. Held senior management positions with several international banks. Was Managing Director & Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking (India) of Mizuho Bank Ltd., India, which belongs to the Japanese mega financial group Mizuho. Teaching experience in finance area of three decades as visiting faculty at JBIMS since 1990. Also taught finance courses as adjunct/ visiting faculty at several premier Indian Business Schools viz. IIM(Ahmedabad), IIM(Bengaluru), S.P Jain Institute of Management & Research, S.P School of Global Management and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. Joined JBIMS as IMC Pravinchandra V. Gandhi Chair Professor in Banking & Finance on 1st July 2021.
