Dr. Sarika Mahajan is an academician, researcher and trainer with more than 17 years of experience. She specializes in the field of Finance. She has also completed Leadership 2020 certificate programme of Bombay Management Association. At present she is working with JBIMS, Mumbai as Assistant Professor in Finance and Accounting Area. Prior to joining Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management as core faculty, she has worked at different management institutes in Mumbai, Jammu and Punjab. Her teaching and research interests include Financial Markets, Capital Market, Derivatives Market, Security Analysis, Financial Management, Fixed Income Securities, Business Environment, Research methodology, Banking and Macroeconomics, Business Research Methods, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Management.
She has published research papers, articles and case studies in the area of price discovery in capital market, return-Volume linkage, information efficiency in equity markets, impact of capital market innovations on cash market liquidity, information asymmetry and conditional volatility and impact of global financial crisis on stock market. She was awarded the Gold Medal for AIMS J.L. BATRA BEST RESEARCH PAPER AWARD, 2015 at Indore. She has successfully completed a minor research project on Financial markets sponsored by University of Mumbai. She has more than 40 Publications to her credit. Dr. Mahajan is widely travelled and has presented many research papers at International and National Conferences. She is also an editorial member of Applied Economics and Finance, United States and International Journal of Financial Management. She is also leadership coach and trainer for soft skills.
She is also the reviewer of various refereed Journals like International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance (IJBAAF), International Journal of Financial Management (IJFM), Journal of Economics and International Finance (JEIF) and International Research Journal on Business, Management and Finance (IRJBMF). She has imparted trainings in various organizations in the areas of financial analysis, corporate finance, management accounting and control, corporate valuation and financial modeling
